The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok to open in 2023
Housed within a 50-storey commercial tower across Lumphini Park, The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok will be part of the ‘One Bangkok’ lifestyle district. It will offer 32 suites and 259 guest rooms. An array of amenities including four restaurants and bars, a fitness center and a ballroom for large events will be on site.
Currently, the brand operates in Koh Samui and Phulay Bay. This property will raise Marriott’s portfolio to 132 luxury properties in Asia Pacific, including 26 Ritz-Carlton hotels.
Craig Smith, president and managing director of Asia-Pacific, Marriott International, Inc, said: “We are thrilled to announce plans for our first Ritz-Carlton hotel in the dynamic capital of Thailand, where we currently operate two Ritz-Carlton resorts.
“The Ritz Carlton Bangkok, in the exciting One Bangkok district – will be an extraordinary addition to our luxury portfolio for our Marriott Bonvoy loyalty members, tourists, business travelers and local residents who seek the brand’s luxury accommodations, world-class service and culinary expertise.”
One Bangkok will be a ‘global landmark destination’ in the city’s CBD by 2023. It will offer a mix of hotels, commercial offices, shops, dining outlets, as well as cultural events — all set within a landscape of green and open spaces.
Soon Su Lin, CEO, development of One Bangkok, added: “We look forward to showcasing this iconic luxury brand within One Bangkok, which will give guests everything the modern lifestyle demands in one place. The Ritz-Carlton’s signature service will also set the benchmark for the operational excellence and level of service we aim to provide at One Bangkok for all our residences, commercial work space, and lifestyle shops and restaurants.”
