  • ASHTON HAWKS (HK) LIMITED (“we”, the “Company” or “us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy, fully implementing and complying with data protection principles and all relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the “Ordinance”).

    We collect, use and share your information when you use our services. This Privacy Policy applies to our use of any of the information that we receive through our various websites, APIs, email notifications, applications, buttons and widgets, the (“services”).  By way of example, you send us information when you access our services through our website, and register for certain of our services.  When using any of our services, this Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child’s account. We may collect and process the following data about you:

    • Device information: We may collect information about the device or any computer you may use to access the services, including, where available, the device’s or computer’s unique device identifiers, operating system, browser type and mobile network information as well as the device’s telephone number, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. We may associate Device information with Registration Information and will treat the combined information as personal data in accordance with this policy for as long as it is combined.
    • Log information: when you use the services or view content on Ashton Hawks, we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs, including but not limited to internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, location, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, search terms, internet service provider (ISP), clickstream data, language, viewed and exit pages and date or time stamps and cookie information.
    • Links: We may keep track of how you interact with links across our services, including email notifications, third party services and client applications, by redirecting clicks or through other means. We do this to help improve our services, to provide more relevant advertising, and to be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked.
    • COOKIES: Our services use cookie technology to distinguish you from other users of our services. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you use our services and also allows us to improve Ashton Hawks and our services as they evolve over time. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer’s hard disk.     • STORING YOUR PERSONAL DATA: All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions carried out by us or our chosen third-party provider of payment processing services will be encrypted using Secured Sockets Layer technology or equivalent online encryption technology. You are responsible for keeping your chosen password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
      Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Company; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
      We may collect and store personal data on your device or computer using application data caches and browser web storage (including but not limited to HTML 5 and the like) and other related technology.
      Certain services may from time to time include chat room or forum features. Ensure when using these features that you do not submit any personal data that you do not want to be seen, collected or used by other users.
    • DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION: We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries.
      We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
      1. In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
      2. If the Company or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.

      4. In order to protect the rights, property or safety of the Company, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

    • ACCESS TO INFORMATION: The Ordinance gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with that Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of HK$150 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
    • CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY: Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail and/or notifying you of a change when you next log into the Company. The new terms may be displayed on-screen and you may be required to read and accept them to continue your use of the Services.
